In looking into your problem a little more
intensively, I have made a few small discoveries.

Your ancestor was noted as Fatschi-Hani (note
spelling) in the list of tithing units for
Fürstenthal (he was in unit 1), published in
August Nibio's brief work on the village,
translated by Dr Sophie Welisch (who furnished me with my copy about 10 years ago). He lived in House number 17 (that is
Conscription Number/Numerus Conscriptionis)
in the village, whose inhabitants were almost
all (if not entirely) Roman Catholic parishioners of the village church of SS Peter and Paul.

other people with the nickname prefix, Fatschi, all surnamed Gaschler and presumably
the brothers of your great-grandfather. It would be fascinating to know what Fatschi means or from which name (personal, local, occupational or other) it derives.
