I have been researching my relatives that came over to New York from Hungary between 1904 and 1914. I have a lot of info already from the Ellis Island immigration records, but some of it conflicts. It seems that the most consistent info is that my family may have lived in Glogovacz (Arad)(which is now part of Romania). They did live in Budapest for some time period. Another town listed was Erzeebetfalva (sp?). My Great grandmother's name was Anna Lehmayer (sisters Juliska, Luiza, brother Pater), born about 1888. Her father was Pater Lehmayer, mother Anna (don't know her maiden name). I am trying to find out Anna's maiden name (could have been Dezso), but I have been told I must first locate the place she was born. And also anything else about the family and their origens. I know that relatives of theirs stayed behind and my family lost touch with them after World War I. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
