Note: Dumitra Adamache Caragata was the eldest daughter of Iamandei Adamache, of Lakenheath, Saskatchewan, and his wife, Ana Mircea. The Adamaches immigrated to Canada in 1907 from Ducuzul (now Cuza Voda, Constanta County, Romania; however they originally came from Cioarsti, Vrancea County, Romania.

CARAGATA, DUMITRA: Funeral service was held Tuesday in St. George’s Romanian Orthodox Church for Mrs. Dumitra Caragata, 81, of 2231 Lindsay(Regina) who died Friday. Burial was in Riverside Memorial Park.
Mrs. Caragata was born in Romania and came with her husband Marin to Canada in 1911 and settled at Wood Mountain. They retired from their farm in 1946 and came to Regina.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1960, a son, George, in 1941, and twins Steven and Marie, in 1924. Mrs. Caragata is survived by six sons: Andrew and William of Wood Mountain, Theodore of Toronto, John of Peterboro, Ont., Nicholas of Ottawa, Stephen of 2800 Argyle; three daughters: Mrs. Anne Nicholson of Saskatoon, Mrs. Fanny Nicholson of 2857 MacDonald, Mrs. S. A. Westergard of Wood Mountain; 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; four brothers: Neagu of Assiniboia, George and Nicholas of Windsor, Ont., Radu of Moose Jaw; two sisters: Mrs. Rose Cojocar of 2423 Reynolds and Mrs. Jenny Costache of 2501 Edgar (Regina).
