Leon Fraidin of Chestnut Hill and Pompano Beach, FL, died suddenly from congestive heart failure on February 26, 2012. Beloved husband of Jeanette (Miller) Fraidin and the late Ruth Roddy (Marcus) Fraidin. Devoted father of Norman Fraidin and his wife Lisa of Boca Raton, FL; Kenneth Fraidin and his wife Myra of Wellesley and Claire Sandell of Natick. Cherished grandfather of Randy Fraidin, David Fraidin, Michelle Grove, Lisa Bloch and her husband Dov, Stacey Krug and her husband Aaron, Tracy Forrester and her husband Colin, Jodie Sandell and her husband Matthew. Loving great grandfather of Allison, Dylan, Hudson, Hayden and Levi. Leon came to the United States from Russia at the age of 10. With no formal education, he became the founder of State Coat Front Co., the largest manufacturing business of its kind in the United States. As a successful businessman, he took pride in helping others become successful also. He was president of the South End Business Mens Assoc. and an avid golfer at the Blue Hill Country Club. In addition to his accomplishments, he supported many charities. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 1 PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon St, Brookline, MA. Interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon. Memorial observance will be held at the Amenity Room, the North Tower at Hampton Place, 77 Florence St., Chestnut Hill, following interment and from 6PM-8PM, continuing on Thursday from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM.
