Thank you for your reply. They were originally from Petrograd (St. Petersburg) and apparently traveled to Sebastopol to soon catch a ship out of Constantinople to come to the US in 1923. A number of people on the ship listed the same 'local address' of Russ.Ref.Rel.Soc.of Am,Inc. 87th Str. NY I assume this was some organization like the Tolstoy Foundation of the 1940's and 50's which helped the (Russian) immigrants to get settled in. I was really hoping that like the Tolstoy that has a huge database with real details of Russian immigrants (like where they started to work and how much they were paid, etc), this 'Russian Ref.Rel.Society' or its descendant would allow me to further track down my family.
I don't understand why no one seems to know of this Russian Society. I need to trace back to parents and brothers and sisters who seemingly stayed in Petrograd and where some may have moved from there (Yugoslavia?).
