Another which may have 1945 aerial photos taken by RAF PR, is Google Earth.
Locate the present South Gyle conventionally.
Then look for "Historic Images" or similar in the "Tool Bar" along the top.
When that opens, move the selection point to the left, probably labelled "1945".
I have not checked for the farm on detail; but you woll find that Turnhouse Airfield is "brushed-out", as is all shipping in the docks and harbours.
Last year, there was a book published which includes original versions of the photos, complete with ships etc.
The 1945 PR sorties concentrated on main inhabited areas, so in Google Earth, you will find them as B/W images, merging in to coloured modern images for the other areas.
It can be a useful facility, as it also includes earlier versions of the modern satellite omages, eg say 2006, which have proven to be of use to clarify some planning issues.
