I have checked the OPR Series of Births/Christenings on Scotland's People, from about 1550 to 1854, for GYLOCH and variants.

made up in part of two "concentrations"-
11 East Lothian (formerly Haddingtonshire)
Generally East Lothian and Perthshire are separated by about 80 to 100 miles.
East Lothian is a mix of generally flat rich farmland and rolling hills - but not mountains.
Perthshire is similar; but with the addition of mountains and glens.
The pre-fix MAC is generally associated with Highland names so may point to the northern, more mountainous part of Perthshire - but ...
On a similar basis, there are 340 esults for GOLKEY and variants, in Scotland.
I'll leave it to you whether you follow up in detail.
