Hi Gordon:
Just waking up here in Canada!First, check out his Death Record and the names of John's parents, i.e. if his mother is a "Janet".Young men have married women the age of their mother before!By the way, it looks like his mother may have married again in 1928 in Stirling, Stirlingshire, the year that she died, and the year before John married. It also seems she died in George Square District, Edinburgh.Could that be true?More things to look up!
Another look-up would be the 1911 Census in Stirling, Stirlingshire, as there is a John Blair, age 0, and a Janet (Second person forename) recorded there. This would give you a look to see if there are other family members, and indicates he was born before the Census.By the way, what was his exact DOB from the Birth Record:day, month, and year?
Once you have established it is the correct John Blair, you can then move on to the other members of his family, including the great-aunts!
