I am also researching a Henry Stevenson of Ricalton, Parrish of Oxnam, Roxburghshire County, Scotland.
I have a date of 1689 and a list of five children for him. James, Jane and John (possible twins?) Henry and Robert. In my notes that were passed along, I also have this, 1749 Bloody Laws. I have no idea what it means.
Henrys' son Robert Stevenson from Scotland to Ireland Interim or Antrim, 1743.
Roberts' son, William Stevenson 1744 Ireland married first R. Beattie Green married second Elizabeth Wylie
Elizabeth and William had four children Samuel married Elizabeth Westbrook Mary married James Fergusan Daniel Green married Esther Gaston Catherine married John Westbrook
William and R. Beattie Green had five children, a set of twins included, but I don't have the notes for all of them, just their son Hugh W.
Williams' son Hugh W. Stevenson married Margaret Stevenson, they were first cousins.
Hughs' son John Campbell Stevenson married Agnes Simpson
Johns' daughter Alba Katie Stephenson born 1865 Died: 1934 Buried in Lawerance, Alabama married Wilson H. Martin I have no idea why the last name changed spelling.
Katie was my ggg grandmother.
I would like to know more dates and place names for the ones I have. It would be nice to know if I am right. Any help would be appreciated.
