-emperor DUŠAN : was the King of Serbia (from 8 September 1331) and Emperor of the Serbs and Greeks (from 16 April 1346) until his death on 20 December 1355. Dušan managed to conquer a large part of Southeast Europe, becoming one of the most powerful monarchs in his time. He enacted the constitution of the Serbian Empire in Dušan's Code, one of, if not the most important work of medieval Serbia. Dušan promoted the Serbian Church from an Archbishopric to a Patriarchate, finished the construction of the Visoki De?ani-monastery (UNESCO item), and founded the Saint Archangels Monastery, among others. Under his rule Serbia reached its territorial, economical, political and cultural peak. : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Uro%C5%A1_IV_Du%C5%A1an_of_Serbiahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Uro%C5%A1_IV_Du%C5%A1an_of_Serbia
Forgiven names : VUKAŠIN, DUŠAN and UROŠ :
Here is the statistical breakdown based on the official WWII census of identified victims in Croatia ( which we at "Rodoslovlje" use because there is no other period census data publicly available):
-out of 104 people in it whose first name /first name of the father is VUKAŠIN - 1 was Croatian,
-out of 368 people whose first name /first name of the father is UROŠ - 8 were Croatian,
-out of 4913 victims of WWII in Croatia whose first name/first name of the father is DUŠAN -153 were Croatian.
The above listed prevalence data is for people born between 1850. and 1945. who were victims of WWII from Croatia.
It would bereally interesting to see any original or relevant source that explains given namesVUKAŠIN, UROŠ or DUŠAN as *ethnic Croatian*.
In case of the BEADER immigrants, that statement is contradictedby:
- period statistics on given names and ethnicity, - specific location data from period records for the ŽITNI? place of origin, - universal and ethnic naming customs and traditions.
