I am seeking information on my grandfather William Henderson Anderson Henderson. He was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, some time in the 1880's I think. We don't know when or how he came to move to Singapore. He apparently served with the Singapore Volunteers during the Indian uprising in 1915 and is identified as an Assistant with United Engineers Ltd on the list of qualified jurors for 1916. At some stage following this he moved on to the Straits Steamship Company were he worked as a Ship's Engineer until just before WWII when he and the family moved permanently to Australia.
He was married to Edith Naomi Rann and had one son, William George.
Unfortunately no-one in the family seems to know much more about him and he passed away in the early 1950s
