Does it not make sense that since the child was born in Nova Bystrica, Trencin region that both parents were from the same village or same area? The parents must have married in Nova Bystrica.
Any luck locating Martin's draft registration for WWl and WW11?Not a long wait till next year but you could also look into an Alien Registration Form for him.
You really don't think that us Slovaks would name a child Evor when Eva is the spelling we use.The priest must have written A in Eva with a leg/line, sloppy.

I would recommend going thru Nova Bystrica's church records, if you have not already to find the ancestors's baptismal record and marriage record to confirm what you know.
Maybe there were several families named POKRIVKA so an Alias was used, in this case ZEMJANCIN.
