Dear Lucy, I beleive it was pure coincidence or something even stranger that prompted me to typing in my G.Grandfathers name on Google. Indeed was surprised myself to see someone interested in locating the where abouts of Harry Storey ...my G.Grandfather. U may not see this as a fact judging by my surname, but the change bears a 'story' by itself.
Harry Storey's eldest son (My grandfather) ,Jimmy was a rebel from childhood and was up to little of no good at all during most of his teen years. No amount of warning or reprimand could mend his naughty demenour. Finally it came to a point where he was sent to boarding school. From there too he ran away and lived with a certain family whom we have almost no details. Many years went by and finally when Harry Storey was too old, he decided on migrating back to England. My grandfather as a symbol of not wanting to dishonor his father changed the surname to Norton from Storey.
So thats the connection. Now Lucy, I am really not certain if he died in the UK , Sri Lanka or India. I may have to hunt around for details. Could keep you posted though if you are interested.
Thanks again for the interest you've shown in our family history. Maybe you could also let me know the reason you are following up on Harry.
