Dear Fazli, have had a look into your stuff on the Lanka Genealogy website and it appears you're a sort of expert in this area.
Would you by some chance be able to lead me to a positive search area to trace details about one Lieut. Abbon de Valliere who served in the army during british tikes here ( he had died in 1803 having returned from an aborted siege on Kandy. Possibly died in Colomboif one is to go by exracts( sent to me by a friend in the UK) from a book titled " TOMBSTONES AND INSCRIPTIONS"AVAILABLE ONLY IN THE UK. cOULDYOU SUGGEST A SOURCE FROM WHICH I CAN GET DETAILED INFO ON THIS LIEUT ABBON DE VALLIERE SINCE I AM FAIRLY POPSITIVE HE IS EITHER MY GGD OR GGGD.
ANOTHER MAN BY THE SAME NAME HAD MARRIED A MISS KRELTZHEIM IN JAFFNA IN 1844 ANDS THIS COULD HAVE POSSIBLY BEEN ONE OF HIS SONS, GIVEN THE SAME NAME.
I'D BE MOST GRATEFUL FOR ANY ASSISTANCE YOU'D BE ABLE TO SEND MY WAY TO HELP IN THIS SEARCH.
THANKS AND REGARDS, WINSTON DE VALLIERE. firstname.lastname@example.org
