I found this snippet in a small book called "A Guide to Colombo" by George J. A.Skeen, Govt Printer published in 1906."At Highfield are the premises of Mr M.C. Perera an expert scientific instrument repairer, agent for typewriters and bicycles, and Consul for the Cyclists Touring Club of England". Highfield was located around the Kollupitiya juction where apparently Martinus C started his business. The Times of Ceylon Green Book for 1925 lists Martinus C Perera & son at 71 Union Place. Estd 1885.
