Thank you for this info...and the offer. We.....many of us accessing this genealogy website and info....need to read parts of that book. I have been consulting some University libraries etc.......and so far, my understanding is that when a book is 100 years old or older (and esp. when the book is not printed any more), copywrite laws say that the book can be copied.I am waiting to hear confirmation about this from 2-3 Univerisites. Is it possible for you to scan those books....or even parts of it...and put on Google books..or send to Fazli Sameer so that he can put that info somewhere on this website?I have not been able to find any place where they sell this book (any of the volumes).University of London library has volumes 3,4,5,6.A few other Universities in the US and Australia only have Volume 4. In many of the libraries, you have to go to the library to access the book. London library is sending the books to my library in Canada...but they e-mailed me and said that it has to stay in the library. Not sure when they will do this. I corresponded with Fazli re. this...and he would love to have even part of this book in order for other Sri Lankans to access. There are 2 books that are not on Google books....it is Some Sinhalese Families and Chieftains of Ceylon.Practically most other books important for Sri Lankan genealogy is either in part or whole on Google books. You will be doing an amazing service to the field of Sri Lankan history and genealogy (enable the Diaspora community to have access). Let me know re. this. Thanks.
