Thank you for the clarification. I might need a little bit more as i keep searching (in the future).
Re. names i am looking for......the Adrian Wijesinghe Jayewardene family were in that church (i found about 2-3 records in that pilot project ie. Sam Matteau's index). I found info for his 2nd wife. Need info for his 1st wife Suraweera Arachige (something like that)family. Also, his son Abraham married someone called Rose Maria Perera. Need info about her family. Then, Abraham's grandaughter Agnes married an Abraham Jayewardene. He was a cousin of hers. Need to know who his parents were.(this is my great grandfather and great grandmother). Agnes and her husband were Jayewardene cousins. And Agnes's sister Dorothy married a Jayewardene (another Jayewardene 1st cousin....something like that)Need to know which Jayewardene family they came from. [the answer to this would give me info about our great, great, great, grandparents etc. Also, another question i have is that both Don Adrian and Don Abraham had 2 wives. Which wife had which children. [the answer to this question would give me the maternal line}.Since relatives married relatives often, answer to this question also would give me some place to look re. my own father (Samarainghe side).
Also, i found 1 Samarasinghege Perera baptism certificate in the LDS pilot project (the same place i found Don Adrian Jayewardene's).There has to be more. Anything to do with Samarasinghe/Samarasinha.Also, trying to find anything to do with Wijegunewardene/ Wijegunewardene ge. (spelling might be different). You sent me some info from a book before re. Wijegunewardene. It has been helpful...but i need to find info about my great grandfather's parents 1st. He was Wijegunawardene Ge Jerome Emelion Perera Wijegunawardene.Spelling for Wijegunawardene might be different. I only heard it spoken, never written. But the Wijegunawardene family were factors for Dutch East India company. That means a member of that family were European (a fact i confirmed through DNA tests.....ie. that our family has European genes..... ).
I am also looking for a family from Madampe/Kohilawatte/Marawila by the name of Perera (Udunuwara Urulawatte Vijesundere Perera). They were also Christian. One member a few generations ago (maybe when Dutch or British were there) was a Lawyer and Pastor.
