Want to clarify something. It is that much of what i put on the original post re. genetics, i either found by talking to various geneticists around the world, or did internet research, or found by talking to various Sri Lankan famlies around the world (many of them unrelated).Facts about diabetes and PCOS in Sri Lanka were confirmed by a top geneticist in Sri Lanka (cos they have done short genetic studies on sinhalese and other people re. this). When i wrote my first post, it sounded like i was having certain things. [I do not know how to revise a post on this site. Instead am clarifying here]. I have a psych minor.....and in our research methods courses we learned to research in a particular manner. That is why i took the opportunities of talking to various geneticists, medical companies, etc.at the same time as me taking some genetic test.I got interested in genetics because of genealogy shows that talked about how you could find ancestry information through genetic tests. Faces of America, Finding your roots, etc. are the shows that talk about these things. Dr. Henry Louis Gates (Harvard Professor influenced many of us through these shows, to get involved in research). It is a fascinating field. I am now helping a German/Polish family find their European information.
