I came across your message in to the Jewish Burgher community in Sri Lanka by accidently coming across Genealogy.com.
I am sri lankan born myself and now teach law at the univerdity of east london, but may be going to brisbane in july to take up an academic post there.
I am curremtly writing a book on the relationship between sinhalese buddhist nationalism and the post-colonial legal order based on my phd thesis.
I have a number of Burgher friends in Austrlalia and one of then happens to be Arthur Keuneman brother of Pieter Keuneman). Have you seen the book by michael roberts and percy colin-thome called "People In Between" - its a very good history and genealogy of the burgher community). Many of my friends in Oz including Arthur Keuneman would be very interested in what you are doing.
So am I as it adds to the rich multicultural heritage of sri lanka which off course has come under attack since 1956. If you have any information on Jewish idnetity in Sri Lanak i would be very interested.
