Hermina Wilhelmina Ondaatje, who was born in Utrecht, Holland 10 nov 1805, married my great, great grandfather,James George Waller on 13 june 1823 in Rembang. He was born in Brixton, England, in about 1793 and it was Mina's second marriage, the first was to Jacobus van Kooten, born Gelderland abt. 1795. He was a notary in Rembang, Java, where he died on 22 may 1822. James George Waller, a master of shipbuilding, was in Java from about 1816, presumably working for some large shipbuilders, possibly associated with the Dutch East India Company. Later, he amd Mina moved to Sourabaya, Java. His son James George Waller, my great grandfather, moved to Australia, where was married in 1858 to Caroline Jane Hodges, of Bristol England. Can anyone help me with information on the Ondaatje family, and perhaps James George Waller? Mina's mother was a Christina Hoevenaar, of Utrecht (born 2 December 1766 and died in Batavia 12 August 1818.
