My Grandfather, Henrik (Henry) Magnus Eriksson (then Erickson) (Oct. 27, 1886 - April 1953 or 1955), born in Oestra Vingaker, Sodermanland County, Sweden, and died in Brooklyn, New York, had 7 siblings. I currently am searching for them. The first (of the second and third eldest) are: Carl/Karl Oscar/Oskar Eriksson (then perhaps changed to Erickson) (born May 19, 1879) in Skedevi, Ostergotland County, Sweden. He emigrated from Sweden to the U.S. in 1905. The second one is: August Vilhelm Eriksson (then perhaps changed to Erickson) (born Oct 26, 1877), born in Skedevi, Ostergotland County also.
Both of them emigrated from Sweden. August Vilhelm went to Brazil. I believe (but am not sure), that there was an offspring in the Sao Paulo area, named Vennancio A. O. Erickson. August got involved with and/or created Race Horse stables and a brewery, according to family stories.
If anyone has any knowledge of them and/or their families and their history, I would greatly appreciate the help. I cannot find any information, other than dates and places of birth, of my Grandfather's siblings or their offspring and histories. The other siblings are: Erik Gustav Eriksson (perhaps Jr.) (born Aug 03, 1875), Anna Erika Eriksdotter or Eriksson (born feb. 03, 1880), Emil Efraim Eriksson (born May 22, 1883), Frans Edvin Eriksson (born Oct 04, 1889) and Elsa Maria Eriksdotter or Eriksson (born Dec 03 1892). All of these siblings of my Grandfather were born in Skedevi, Ostergotland County, Sweden.
The parents of all these, were Erik Gustav Eriksson (perhaps Sr.) (born June 12, 1849) and Anna Johansdotter (born 1852). They also were both born in Skedevi, Ostergotland County, Sweden.
I have been running into dead ends and have come up empty, I don't know where else to turn. I am also a member of Ancestry.com and My Heritage.com, but have not been successful with them. So if anyone has even the slightest bit of info, it would be greatly appreciated.
Oddly, just recently, my Grandfather's wife, Ida Sofia Svensson's Grandnephew (my second cousin), from Goteborg, Sweden, managed to track me down. Lucky for me. I now have much info on her side.
Thank you in advance, to anyone who can help/provide info.
I would like to thank Inga Olsson, very much, for her assistance so far, in my endeavor.
