Lorry - I have copied some of the church records, some of the earliest entries of the Panisko (that's how it's spelled in the metrical records) name are - 1835 - Zofia, wife of Jacob Panisko, was godparent to abaptism. Sept 1835 - Michael Panisko born to Paul and Sophia (daughter of Barbara Fedyniak). I also have this book - Trailblazers of Ukrainian Emigration to Canada by Marshall A. Nay in which he documents the arrival to Canada of the first Ukrainians, primarily Wasyl Eleniak and Ivan Pylypiw. I'll have to look through it, I know he mentions the Panischaks a lot. Here he has the Pylypiw family - In the early 1800's two Pylypiwsky brothers arrived in Galicia from eastern Ukraine, possibly from Poltava. Ivan's grandfather came to Nebyliw and his son Hawrylo was Ivan's father. Hawrylo married Maria Kulka -her parent's were Basil Kulka and Eudokia Tychkowsky (that was my grandmother's name too). I have copied a lot of the Pylypiw family records to my computer. I have Anna's birth 7 March 1865.
