Thank you for the reply Hania. I also have an ancestry account & it has helped me learn quite a bit about my Great Grandmother. Mary/Marya Kalita came to the US from Bremen on the "George Washington", arriving on Ellis Island Mar 17,1913. She was single and listed as Austrian/Ruthenian and came from Polana, Galicia. She settled in NYC & married my GGranfather Peter Myszkowski(also from Polany, Galicia) in NYC 1915. They had two sons, my grandfather Frank in 1916 & Paul 1919. I have several old photos of her and her young family. She died young at age 29 in NYC 1926. As I said before, in the letters I have learned she was eldest & only child of large Kalita family to emigrate to US. I am trying to establish contact with those Kalitas in Ukraine today. I also have several other surnames to look for from information contained in the old letters-- female Kalitas (Mary's sisters) that married in LVIV. I have not posted them yet to avoid any confusion.
