There is a document showing Joane Games as wife of Thomas. (of Wales)
Thomas Games put up a bond in New York in 1640 for Edward Griffin.
This immigrantwho ran away from Maryland after he was captured by Governor Leonard Calvert and taken as hostage during the land battle between William Clayborne and Cecil, Lord Baltimore.
Also the gunner for the Ark and Dove in 1634 was John Gaines (1631-John Games(b;1597) of Ratcliffe, Middlesex, sailor aged 34. served in the Dove for a voyage from London to the West Indies and Virginia

I read a book " The Land of Brychan" by Nansi Selwood
Richard Games Esq. of Penderynwho died about 1647 had sons named Thomas, William, Richard, Edward and Henry.
His wife Mary died after him. But they were in Penderyn and Aberbran. The book talks about a cousin from Llandovery/Llanymddyfri but it doesn't say who the cousin was??
-
But a lot of Gaines people say they descended from the Gaines at Newton and I don't have a clue since there are so many Games wills??

I remember your e-mail had the name Vaughn on it and wondered if we are related?

I've been terribly busy, living in Oregon one has to make hay when the sun shines, Harvesting, canning, getting wood in for the winter etc. has had me going crazy. I'll be glad when the rain starts.
Please send me another e-mail and I'll copy and keep it this time.
