I did peruse through your mother's book, "Filipinos in Alaska: 1788 - 1958", but unfortunately didn't buy it when I had the chance. Still, I am in the market for more info. I also did as you advised, but half of the links at < http://www.fanhs17.comhttp://www.fanhs17.com > are "inoperable" and the one link that I am interested in--Family Journal--is still not "online."
BTW, did you ever go to any of the impromptu and unscheduled all-night Karaoke sing-a-thon(s)? If yes, then there is a possibility that we might have "chatted." I'm the Hawaii guy teaching the impromptu Filipino genealogy class on the billard table. BTW2, I did talk with your mother, Thelma Bucholdt, and she told me her family line was the de LEON and ALABANZA families of Cagayan. More than curious, I have cousins who are ARRANZA (y ALABANZA) descendants of Vigan, Ilocos Sur. Does this sound familiar? OK, ask Mom.
More, if you want to chat about FANHS, I recently--yesterday--put in a request to have the SURNAME 'fanhs' added to this genforum. Here's hoping that www.genealogy.com grants my/our request and posts a < http://genforum.genealogy.com/fanhshttp://genforum.genealogy.com/fanhs > site, for our 'family members' to chat and discuss openly on our common interests and research. Oh well, hope this helps.
