Karella dies is Anchorage
Ambrose Jerome Karella, a resident of Fairbanks since 1956, died yesterday at Providence ospital in Anchorage.He was 74.
Karella was born Jan. 5, 1898 in Madison County Nebraska.He is survived by his widow Delora, a nurse at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital; sons Andy and Charles of Fairbanks, Jerome of Anchorage and Lloyd of Norfolk, Neb.; daughters Florence Roggenbach of Norfolk, Neb., Marcella Fraundorfer of Humphrey, Neb., Mildred Ridder of Madison, Neb., and Sharon Frost of Anchorage; two brothers, three sisters, 38 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mass will be said at Immaculate Conception Saturday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Neil Murphy officiating.Rosary will be recited Friday at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Chimes.Visitation will be Friday from 7-9 p.m.
The family requests donations to the hospital building fund.
