It certainly sounds like you have run into dead end.I thought I would offer some off-the-wall suggestions. Many of the old-time Norweigans that lived here in Ketchikan have died. There is still a "Sons of Norway" club here that some old time members might remember Carl or Peter. They can be reached at PO Box 5805 Ketchikan AK 99901 USA.I moved here long after 1965 so I am not sure if the local paper would have printed an obituary of Carl Holmbery, or even Peter. They often will print obituaries of people who have moved south. You can write to the Ketchikan Daily News at PO Box 7900 Ketchikan, AK 99901 USA.
I was particularly struck in your message by the address of 121 Nadeau. That house is still standing about two blocks away from here.It houses a home to enable recovering alcoholics and addicts to return to society. I am on its board of directors.
Kasaan is about 40 miles away on a different island. It is a small native village. It is not very accessible, although it is more accessible now than it used to be.
Morris Holmberg's residence (XX953) looks to me like part of an US zip code, not Canadian. The trouble is that it is not Alaskan.
