I am looking for information on Sam and Nelle Guyot who lived in Juneau, Alaska.First documented date is 1944 but they probably lived there for quite some time before.Their address was Box 965, Juneau, Alaska.
Sam died in Oct 1951 (possibly 1952) and is known to be buried in Juneau.
Nelle died Jan 2, 1956 in Portland, Oregon and her body was sent to Juneau to be buried with her husband.Nelle's family was Catholic.
Robert Howell (unknown relationship) appeared to have lived with them.He referred to them as Uncle Sam and Aunt Nelle. He graduated High School May 19, 1948 in Juneau and enlisted in the army for three years, reporting to Fort Ord in the summer of 1948.Robert was born in 1930 (unknown location).
Nelle was the 10th child of Thomas and Ellen Sullivan and was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, approximately 1869.Her father Thomas Sullivan died in 1894 (Michigan) and her mother Ellen Cantillion Sullivan died in 1903 (Michigan).Nelle was listed in the Michigan census in 1900 still living with her mother. She had brothers (Patrick J. Sullivan of Seattle, Washington and John Thomas Sullivan of Portland, Oregon)and sisters (Mary Sullivan O'Connor and Josephine Sullivan of Portland, Oregon) who moved to the West Coast but we have no information on how she came to marry Sam Guyot and live in Alaska. Her legal maiden name was Ellen M. Sullivan.
If you have any information on any of these people, please let me know.
