Goodwin, Hendricks, Trammell
I am searching for information on Alexander Goodwin, who was in household 815, Chambers Co., AL, 1860 census (Milltown district).Alexander's age was given as 30, his occupation as overseer. His wife was Elizabeth Hendricks, born 1826, in Monroe Co., GA.They had married in 1848 in Pike Co., GA, and were there in the 1850 census.By 1860 they had 4 children: John D., Benjamin F., Hannah (or Elizabeth), and Mary.Alexander Goodwin joined the Confederate army and died in Sept., 1863, a few days after making his way home from Vicksburg.
William Trammell, age 42, was in household 817 in the 1860 Chambers Co.census.He was age 42, a physician, and his real estate value was $12,000 and personal property valued at $12,000.It seems probable that he was Alexander Goodwin's employer.Would there have been any kin relationship between Trammell and the Goodwin or Hendricks family?Would anyone know where William Trammell's plantation might have been?
Any help appreciated . . .
