I am still searching in the vicinity of Chambers Co., AL for the burial place of Peter B. Alston. Per the 1850 federal census, the post office location for PBA was Cusseta. This census also has his household as living next door to a Methodist minister, Samuel Jones. Not sure if PBA and family were Methodist, but have suspected that this was their faith. Wondering if there are any records for a Cusseta area Methodist Church dating to this time. It stands to reason that he should be buried in the cemetery in Cusseta, but cannot find him there. Are there other nearby cemteries in Cusseta? PBA died before 1855, as his widow, Martha King Alston is listed as head of household in the Alabama state census - actually dated at the end of 1854. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
