Edna Horton Furr, 89, of Jackson died March 16, 2004 in the Washington County Infirmary Nursing Home in Chatom. She was a native of Winn. She was a member of the Peniel Baptist Church in the McVay Community near Jackson. She was a homemaker. Survivors include three sons, Coma Calvin Horton, Bobby Royce Horton, both of Grove Hill, Jerry Hugh Horton, Jackson; one daughter, Betty Joyce Smith, Chatom; two sisters, Gwendolyn Horton, Winn, Catherine May, Mobile; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held March 17 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Marion Ball officiating at Trinity Memorial Gardens Cemetery located on the Walker Springs Road in Jackson. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed. Pallbearers were Gary Horton, Keith Horton, Greg Horton, John Horton, Mark Beech and Kevin Taylor.
Edna Blanch Finch was the wife of Dayton Grant Horton, son of Richard Franklin Horton.
