She was born in Pike County, but had been a resident of this area for the past 55 years. The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon, April 26th at 2:30 O'clock from Bradshaw Baptist church with Rev. Earl Hall, pastor of First Baptist Church in Opp officiating.Internment was in Bradshaw cemetery.(Perhaps she was *going* to buried here, but she wasn’t) Serving as casket bearers were R. Z. Sexton, Willie Kendall, J. Berry, Rex Knowles, Ed Kendrick and Malcomb Catrett. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Clara Mae Sims Berry, Opp; Mrs. Lucille Sims Stewart, Haines City, Fla.; and Mrs. Eugene (Vera Mae Sims) Marshall, Panama City, Fla.; five sons, Raymond Dewey Sims, Opp; L. Grady Sims, Akron, Ohio; Loman Clayton Sims, Milton, Fla.; Walter R. Sims, Avon Park, Fla.; and Leon Sims, Samson, Ala.; sister, Mrs. Cassie (Catrett) Bowden, Andalusia, Ala.; brothers, N. B. Josephine's headstone reads "Jossee M.".I believe this is due to the fact that she was a Marshall when she died as she married Dave Marshall after Wallace died.
