RED BAY, Ala. - Carlton G. Johnson, 80, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at the Red Bay Hospital. He was a mechanic and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He attended Pentecostal Faith Church.
Services were Aug. 4 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with burial in Red Bay City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors included his wife, Eva Johnson of Red Bay, Ala.; three children, Debra Stanford (Bobby) of Russellville, Ala., Jeff Johnson (Diane) of Diamondhead and Sarah Ginn (Davy) of Golden; two stepchildren, Kathleen Townsend of Bessemer, Ala., and Douglas Orick of Vina, Ala.; one brother, Douglas Johnson (Jackie) of Fairview; one sister, Janice Johnson Wood (Bobby) of Fairview; one sister-in-law, Gladys Johnson of Tupelo; five grandchildren, Anna Stanford, Joseph Stanford, Brandon Johnson, Brittany Johnson and Colby Ginn; three stepgrandchildren, Christy Wells, Stephanie Underwood and Karly Hines; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nella Jean Wright Johnson; his parents, Flavis and Ruby Edith Hall Johnson; a brother, Ted Johnson; and a sister-in-law, Estleen Johnson.
