The majority of the information has been culled from other peoples' works through the years that I have been accumulating scraps on my own line.Unless there is a definative reference listed (i.e. Deed book page number, SSA Form 5, census, etc.;those came about from my own research) then it is something I gleaned from Internet postings or family histories in library books, etc.I have two databases, one for my tree that I have proven and I maintain the other information as possibilities until I can finally plug my line into the grand scheme. Some of those stories have proven to be a bit suspect, as I tried to point out before.
You are probably right to question Lucy Jane Hudspeth Hall as she does not appear in the 1860 census and Mary Ann Cole Hudspeth died later that year.I have seen other lists with several of Selina's children attributed to Mary Ann.This is why I prefer to e-mail this kind of information, so a directly interested party can give it some sort of sanity check before it gets posted, my bad.... Cuthbert was postulated as the father of Ralph (Rafe) who emigrated to the US and started a lot of this whole thing, as someone had found a record of a family with the right names and dates in Corbridge. However, the actual link remains to be proven, as far as I know. For the sake of my "possibilities file" I would like to know what additional information you have been able to find.
