Thank you Joan. Elisha Nordan (1811-1888) was my great great great uncle. He was the sixth child of seven born to Thomas and Elizabeth Ann Nordan. He evidently lived his entire adult life in Henry Co. In October of 1864, he enlisted in the Home Guard CSA in Captain J.L. Fowler's Company of Mounted Infantry in the Henry Co. Reserves, but I did not know of his involvement in the Creek Indian War of 1836, so I thank you for that information, His brother David G. Nordanwas my great great grandfather. By chance, would you happen to know Elizabeth Ann's maiden name? I do know she was born in South Carolina and that she was a charter member of the Pelier Primitive Baptist Church in Henry Co. Is this church still in existence? I'm only asking these questions because you seem to be familiar with the area.
