There’s a public member tree at ancestry.com that lists the mother of Dora Emma Haymon as Zelphia Jane Tumlin and father as Edward M. Haymon. Dora married John Thad Pickett: Dora Emma Haymon Pickett Birth: October 24, 1888 (one source has Etowah County, AL and another as Jackson County, AL) Death: April 24, 1964Jackson County, AL
I suspect that three of the Haymon children moved to Lawrence County, TN before 1920. One was Rufus Haymon who died there.(His widow and children are in the 1920 and 1930 Lawrence County, TN census records.) It’s possible his parents’ names are listed on his death certificate.
From the Tennessee State Library and Archives Death Index (which goes through 1931): Haymon, Rufus Date of death: 5 Sep 1919 County of death: Lawrence Death certificate: Volume 33, Page 150
There are two volunteers listed that will do death certificate look-ups for all counties in Tennessee at: Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness for Tennessee: http://www.raogk.org/tennesse.htmhttp://www.raogk.org/tennesse.htm There may be some fees (parking, gas, copies, etc.) but if so would probably be a lot less than the $20 fee charged by the Tennessee State Library and Archives particularly when you already have the above death and certificate information and don’t know for certain if the parents’ names will be listed.
From other on-line member trees Dicie Adline Haymons married 1) Justice;married 2) Marion Edward Flatt in Lawrence County, TN on 14 Dec 1919: Dicie Haymons Flatt Birth:03 Mar 1885 in Alabama, USA Death: 20 Feb 1940 in Lawrence County, Tennessee, USA Buried: Freemon Cemetery, Lawrence County, TN
Tabe (or T. B.) Haymons (who was Tabus Lillian Haymons according to his WWI Draft Registration card) married Mary Catherine Griggs who was from Winston County, AL. (I have no idea what first name his death certificate might be under): T B Haymons Birth: Sep. 17, 1883 Alabama Death: Feb. 13, 1936 Lawrence County, TN Burial: Center Point United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lawrence County, TN
Of course, I’m just speculating that the above Dicie and Tabe are Edward and Zilphie Haymon children. And as the posted family trees of the two do not list their parents, I tend to suspect the parents’ names are not on their death certificates…but maybe.
Another possible child that died in AL was: Rhoda Ann Haymon Young Born: January 27, 1876 Died: September 07, 1942 Jackson County, AL: (Death certificate # 26284 under Rhoda Young) Buried: Section Methodist Church Cemetery, Jackson County, AL (Rhoda married Milton Young on 2 Jan 1898 in Jackson County, AL)
