Douglas Harris, 57, died Oct. 13, 2007, at his residence. He was born May 30, 1950, in Lamar County, Alabama to the late Foy and Verla Duncan Harris. He was of the Holiness faith and a member of Military Grove Church. He was a welder and enjoyed fishing. He also enjoyed working with farm animals.
Services were at the Otts Funeral Home Chapel in Sulligent with burial in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Survivors included his wife, Cindy Harris of Gattman; four sons, Charles Harris (Melissa) and Alex Harris (Lacrisha), all of Amory, Doug Harris (April) of Okolona and Colton Harris of Gattman; three daughters, Angel Fears (Bobby) of Amory, Amanda Burks (Erik) of Smithville and Debbie Griggs (Chris) of Gattman; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Jerry Harris and Dillard Harris, both of Gattman, and Bo Harris of Detroit, Ala.; and two sisters, Linda Patterson of Aberdeen and Peggy Barnes of Sulligent.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Elizabeth Cagle.
