I am trying to locate anyone who is researching the children of Vineyard B. Thomas who was born 10 Feb 1831 in Sevier County, Tennessee and married Rebecca Jane Romine who was born 15 May 1830 also in Sevier County, Tennessee. At least three of their thirteen children moved to Madison County, Alabama at the turn of the century. They are:Ezekiel S. Thomas who was born 1 Dec 1858 in Sevier County and brought his first wife Ann Margaret Stofle who was born ca. 1860 in Sevier County but later died and he married a lady, Julia Ann Howard Vincent born 22 July 1862 in Alabama and Martha Jane Thomas born 1859 in Sevier County and was married to Enoch C. Haynes who was born 1855 in Tennessee and John H. Thomas who was born April 1866 in Sevier County and later married a lady, Rosa A. born July 1872 in Alabama. All three families lived most of their lives in Madison County, Alabama. Ezekiel, his second wife Julia are buried at Taylor Cemetery in Madison County, Martha Haynes, her husband Enoch C. Haynes are buried at Concord Cemetery in Madison County and it is believed the John H. Thomas is buried in the Gurley area, also in Madison County, Alabama. Rosa A., John wife, is believed to be buried in Texas.
It also appears that several of Ann Margaret Stofle Thomas’ family members maybe even an Uncle and Aunt or a brother and wife may have moved from Sevier County, Tennessee during the same era to Madison County. Ann Margaret Stofle Thomas is believed to be buried in Rayland Cemetery next to G.W.F. Stofle born 6 Mar 1834 and Elizabeth Stofle born 28 Apr 1835. Ryland Cemetery is also located in Madison County, Alabama.
