Rev. Joe Frederick, a retired Baptist minister, died April 15, 1973 at the Lister Hill Hospital. Rev. Frederick, who figured prominently in the affairs on the Free Will Baptist Church in Alabama, had patorates in Alabama and Mississippi. He was a member of the Hackleburg Masonic Lodge. Funeral services were held April 17 at the Hackleburg Free Will Baptist Church with burial in the Union Hill Cemetery. He had been in the ministry for 55 years.
Survivors included his wife, Lella Frederick of Hamilton; three daughters, Mrs. None Loller of Bessemer, Mrs. Mona Hudson of La Port, Ind., and Mrs. Opel Fisher of Smithville, Ms.; and Mrs. Lestel Crowson of Nashville; five sons, Dewey of Adrian, Mich., Tom of Hamilton, Johnny of Benton Harbor, Mich., Dimmard of La Port, and Buford of Huntsville; three brothers, Houston of Tuscumbia, Tittle and Grady, both of Adrian, Mich.; four half-brothers, three half sisters; 32 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild
