"Moffett E. Peacock md. Wm. S. Taylor 15 Feb. 1855 in Montgomery Co., AL."
From the 1850 & 1860 Montgomery Co. census: Moffitt Eliza Peacock was b. ca 1839 in Montgomery Co. Her parents were Michael Peacock b. 1803 NC and Mary Eliza (____) b. 1806 in NC.Siblings of Moffitt: Jesse, Camella, Baker/Michael, Sabry/Sally and Fanny.
Wm. S. Taylor was b. ca 1831 in Montgomery Co.His parents were Wm. Taylor b. ca. 1798 GA and Ann L. (___) b. 1807 GA
But from church records in Mobile I find: Moffitt Eliza Peacock and Henry Bright Taylor (son of Gen. William Cannon Taylor & second wife Eliza Hartwell Meade) had two daughters: 1. Catherine Eliza "Kate" Taylor (b. 1857) who married a Woodhull and then Thornton Gooloe. 2. Lillian Fannie "Lillie" Taylor (b. 1861), unmarried, who lived in Pensacola, FL.
Henry Bright Taylor had a brother William Taylor, but also had a first cousin named Dr. William Sloan Taylor of Mobile. The brother Henry is said to have had two daughters who lived in Texas. The book "Lost Links" says that Henry Bright Taylor married "Miss Peacock" and left two daughters living in Pensacola.
