Ron, I live in Morgan County and had a minute to run by the local library this morning and check on Lamons Cemetery in the Morgan County Cemetery Book which was done in the mid 1980s.The folks who did the book state that they tried, but could not find the cemetery.I am fairly familiar with the area (live about 15 miles from it) and know some folks who are natives to the general area.I'll see if I can find it this fall.
The cemetery book did say this much about the cemetery, so someone has been to it:
Copied from "Valley Leaves", March 1977 (Valley Leaves is a publication of the Tennessee (River) Valley Genealogy Society):
LAMONS, William A.March 4, 1822 - Nov 20, 1907
POWELL, George S.Dec 8, 1882 - Jan 22, 1883 Son of J.R. & W.L. Powell
Approximately 40 graves marked with fieldstones without names or dates and sunk in places indicated unmarked graves. There was a box-type tomb which had fallen in.
