I am just returning to my Perry County research after giving it a rest for a while...I can't see any notes to myself that Ifound your message or replied. If I did and I have forgotten, then just chalk it up to "Old Timers Disease"...if not, then my apology for not replying.
Let's start again?I would be please to know what you might have that would enlighten me as to this Owen/Owens documentation. At present I know that two Owen men (I suspect they were brothers)married two sisters...the women were Cynthia and Lucinda Weiger/Wieger/Weger/Wager/Wigger, etc. This was in Perry County in the 1840s and 1850s. I am pretty sure John Owen who married Lucinda Weiger died in the Civil War...but Samuel who married Cynthia Weiger, may have been the same man as seen in 1880 Clark Co., Ar.I have never been able to prove this.He is not found in 1870, however, Cynthia and children were in Tuscaloosa in 1870.
I keep hoping that someone will have worked their line back to the Weigers and know more about these two men.I want to think they are brothers, as if they were, I could use the info that I still hope to learn about John Owen to connect to Samuel...however, that is just a dream at this point.
Any help you might offer I would be most grateful.I do have some on the Tubb/Tubbs that I have found online...glad to share what little I have...
