Elisha Hunter, Land bought,1834

By Donald Hunter September 09, 2000 at 09:09:32

My name is Donald Hunter and trying to find information on Elisha Hunter from NC(Anson
Co.) who moved to Al. His brothers were Ephraim and Elijah. A Elisha bought land in Pickens Co. in 1834( Cert. 8197). The land description is Aliquot SESW, Sec. 23, Township 24-N, Renge 2-W,Meridian St. Stephens. It was dated in Oct. 14,1834 at the Tuscaloosa Land Office. Greene Co. is also mentioned in the Land Records.
He died around 1836 and his nephew Harry A. Hunter was given a Power of Attorney to settle his Esate for his sisters. In 1838
the Power of Attorney was revoked and given to G.(Green) W. Dunn who married one of the
sisters(Martha Hunter Dunn).
I am trying to find out if this Elisha is the one that's related to me and any information on him and maybe his parents, since I am at a Brick Wall in NC.
Thank You,
Donald Hunter
