Dianne, I can tell you little more than on my last posting. There is a Parkconnection with the Camerons back earlier in Fairfield District, SC.Alexander Cameron is a neighbor of Alexander Park (who I think--not know--)is an uncle of my husband's Hugh Alexander Park in AL. Then there are Camerons next door in both 1850 and 1860 AL census.A Park descendant says a deed exists in which Hugh Alexander buys land from Alexander Cameron.Finally--both our Hugh Alexander (his stone reads Alexander Park) and Alexander Cameron are buried in a damaged cemetery, Old Wesley Chapel Cemetery, in the community of Ralph, Alabama. There are only 8 known graves there. It is being cleaned up and restored by the family who leases that land.
It seems probable that Moses and S.D. Cameron are kin of Alexander Cameron.I have not tried to delve into Cameron history--just note the connections to our Park family.
My husband did a DNA test independantly, several years ago, and we are now finding some Park matches to a family that came from Scot/Ire and split into a northern and a southern branch.I do not know much more than that at the time.It would be interesting to see if there are Cameron connections earlier in PA or across the ocean.
I do know that there are several Alexander Camerons in the genealogy sites--some in the North.
Sorry I cannot help you more, but if you find anything that might connect with PARK, I would love to know. Jeanne
