Moses lived next door to my husband's gggrandfather, H.A. Park (Hugh Alexander Park) in the 1850 Pickens Co. Census, so I am interested in the Camerons, although I don't add much information to your query. However, this land will be part of Tuscaloosa Co. by the 1860 census. In this census, H.A. Park has as a neighbor S.D.Cameron.If you have ever looked at the image of this page, it is so faded that it is almost impossible to read.I figured out our Park ancestor by the names of his wife and children, and by neighbors named Cameron and Robertson. When I wrote "S.D." above, that is a guess.
Added to this, a distant cousin who inherited a part of the farm where H.A. and wife lived told me that extra land was bought from Alexander Cameron.I don't know the date (probably post Civil War) and she has lost the location of her copy.I am unable to search at courthouses in Tuscaloosa or Pickens Co.I do know that the land was purchasedfrom the heirs of Mack Alexander Park in about 1919 by Pink Leatherwood, another cousin.
This may not help you.But if you have any information that might help us with our Park (sometimes spelled Parks) delimma, please contribute.Jeanne Park
