The Memorial stones are now in place at the historical OLD WINDHAM-MOORE cemetery near Moore's Bridge, AL.Located just off hwy 171, mile marker 18 1/2, this cemetery is one of the oldest in the area.Marked only with fieldstones, two new markers have been placed to commemorate the "residents" of the cemetery.Burials started as early as 1820 and continued until 1925.Families include: Windham, Moore, Curl, Pickard, Strickland, Stone and related to Sudduths, Hannah, West, Weekly, McCain, McCool, others.
The Dedication of these memorial stones will be at the cemetery on Sunday, May 22 at 2:00pm.A reception will be held afterward at Mayfield Fire Dept.(hwy 171, marker 19) and a tour of the area following reception.

On Saturday May 21, a Windham-Moore genealogy work session is planned at the Tuscaloosa Library from 2:00-4:00.
