[Columbus (GA) Ledger newspaper, Sunday, 11 OCT 1903.]
I was not able to recover text for the above title, so I don’t know if it is different from the following, from the rival newspaper, or if they are the same, but with varied spelling of the name:
“Funeral of Mrs. G. A. WATLEY
“The funeral of Mrs. G. A. WATLEY, whose death occurred Friday, took place yesterday morning at 10 o’clock, from her late residence, No. 16 [?] _____ street. The services being conducted by Rev. J. W. HOWARD.The following were the pallbearers: Messrs. J. Q. RANDALL, Norman HARRIS, J. W. LAWRENCE, J. D. GINNETT, W. G. HYDE and Homer HOLIDAY.The interment was at Girard Cemetery [in Russell County, Alabama].”
[Columbus (GA) Daily Enquirer-Sun, Sunday, October 11, 1903.]
J. W. HOWARD evidently is a Baptist minister.
I am interested to learn more about Mrs. WATLEY's background and family connections. Also, I would like to identify the pallbearers. Is Mr. GINNETT connectd with the JINNETT family of Phenix City? Thanks – John in TX
