There is a wrong entry in the Genery's Gap book about the Honeycutt family.
The book states that the father of Richard Honeycutt that married Parthenia Harmon is George Honeycutt. George might have had a son named Richard, I don't know.
Alfred Richard Honeycutt married Parthenia Harmon. These are my g-grandparents. Alfred Richard Honeycutt's death certificate names his parents as Bolin Honeycutt and Amanda Peal. Mandy Honeycutt is a few houses away from Richard and Parthenia in 1880.
Amanda L. Peel (b. 1829) married James W. George (b. 1820) in 1846. Alfred Richard George was born 1858. James George served in the Confederate Army, but died in 1865. Amanda Peel George married Bolin Honeycutt in 1867. Alfred Richard George took the name Honeycutt after his Mother's marriage.
I don't have any further information about Bolin Honeycutt, but I suspect he is a descendant of Bolen Honeycutt of North Carolina.
James W. George is the son of Lewis George of South Carolina.
