Looking for spouse of James LaFayette BRAND, who was born June 14, 1879, Walker co., AL; died August 8, 1955, Walker Co., AL, buried alone in the Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, also known as Guthrie Cemetery, Walker Co., AL.He was a son of Hezekiah Hendon BRAND, "Hezzie" and Catherine Letitia PENDLEY, who were married on February 1, 1874, Fayette Co., AL.I don't know where they were buried; but, Hezekiah was born February 8, 1849, Walker Co., AL; died February 5, 1930, Fayette Co., AL. Catherine was born April 15, 1853; died ___.Grandparents were Hezekiah Park BRAND and Lucinda HENDON.Hezekiah, Sr. was born about 1816, Orglethorpe Co., GA, and died between the 1860 and 1870 Census in Fayette Co., AL.He married Lucinda HENDON in Walker Co., AL. She was a sister to my Great Great Great grandfather, William HENDON.Lucinda was born August 18, 1816, Pleasant Hill, Oglethorpe Co., GA and died December 5, 1888 in Fayette Co., AL.She was buried in the old Panter Cemetery; but Hezekiah Park BRAND was buried elsewhere.She was a daughter of Johnson HENDON and Sarah SCOGGIN who marred April 15, 1800 in Oglethorpe Co., GA.Hezekiah Sr.'s parents were Gale or Gail Bryant BRAND, who married Tabitha KING on February 27, 1812, Oglethorpe Co., GA. In turn, Gale BRAND was a son of Revolutionary Soldier, William BRAND.The BRAND and HENDON families were on the 1850 census in Walker Co., AL.GALE BRAND and son, HEZEKIAH and family were on 1860 census in Fayette Co., AL.The families lived close to the two counties'line. Any further information on the BRAND family burials will be appreciated.I have heard there is an old BRAND cemetery in Fayette Co., AL, proably abandoned.Does anyone know where this is located?
