In 1900 Logan Co. AR, Driggs twp., is a MATILDA C. ALLEN, b. May 1830, age 70, b. Alabama, widowed, 8 children/5 living.....listed as mother-in-law in household of Wiliam Bowers, and wife Mary -- possibly the M.C. female listed in the 1860 census.
In Paint Rock Cemetery, Logan Co., AR is a William Allen, b. 30 June 1822, died 25 June 1891.I don't see Matilda listed.
I hope some of this helps you.
